Yesterday, we went to a birthday party at a llama barn. Jared was a little scared to feed the llamas (understandably), but he eventually was comfortable enough to brush one. He also got a little stuffed llama to take home, which he loves! He can't say L's yet, so it comes out mama. :) They also had chickens, so Jared watched them for a long time. He sees chickens every week when we go to our local farm, but I guess these chickens were worth checking out too.
It was very interesting to see the difference of the almost 2 year old (Jared), and the 3 year olds. The older kids sat at the table on folding chairs to eat with little or no problem, could stand still and listen to the lady talking about the llamas, and were interested in the pinata. Jared had no interest in any of this. He just wanted to look at the animals and run around outside. It will be very interesting this coming up year to see Jared's development.
