Jared has been saying a lot of cute and not so cute things lately. He will answer "No!" to everything. Even things that he wants. It's led me to believe that he may not quite understand what "Yes" means, although he does say it sometimes.
Jared is starting to learn his colors (he LOVES to color) and numbers (from the foamy ones that stick to the side of the tub during his bath). That just impresses me constantly.
Jared loves to sing Row, Row, Row Your Boat. He will sing the Row, Row part, then scream out Merrily, Merrily, Merrily. Of course it doesn't quite sound like Merrily, which makes me and Steve laugh. He also sings along when he watches the video of himself on playback, which I also think is adorable. One of these years, I'll post the video of him singing.
He will also do the hand motions to Itsy Bitsy Spider when he's in the mood.
Steve mentioned to me this morning that he thinks the pile of dead ants in the basement was smaller. We decided this was due to one of three things: 1) The ants are carrying back their dead for a proper burial, 2) We have zombie ants, (this would explain why there are always more live ants, no matter how many we kill - this thought frightens us terribly) or 3) we have a little elf housekeeper who will only clean up ant bodies. I'm disappointed that our little housekeeper won't tackle some of the more difficult jobs. :)
